Meet Madison & Zack Vasquez, owners of Golden Badger Kennels!

Our goal is to responsibly produce quality Dachshunds and Golden Retrievers. The main focus of our program is to breed versatile dogs that could do well as a performance/hunting dog, show dog, and most importantly pets! To do this we dedicate our time to educating ourselves on proper breeding practices, properly health testing, and titling our dogs. We currently reside in Cheyenne, Wy with all of our dogs inside our home. We are members in good standing with the Cheyenne Kennel Club, Golden Retriever Club of America, Badger Dachshund club, and the UKC Hunting Retriever Club Inc. I also am a AKC Farm Dog judge and volunteer for a service dog non-profit trying to help out where I can!

Both Zack and I grew up with a variety of breeds. Zack lived on a ranch for a few years when he was younger and encountered a variety of types of working dogs like Collies, Heelers, ect. But his first personal dog was a Siberian Husky. I grew up with mostly pets, we had a variety of breeds such as Goldens, Cocker Spaniels, and mixed breeds. But my first dog I got for myself was a standard smooth Dachshund. So naturally once we found the breeds we were passionate about we decided to start our own program so more people can enjoy well bred Dachshunds and Golden Retrievers. But we both enjoy other breeds so you may see our other "pet" dogs! We also own a Siberian Husky and a mix. Although they aren't used in our program we still adore them and have fun with them in activities as well!
